Prevention of Colorectal Cancer

The most important reason for getting colorectal cancer is increased age. After age of 50, the risk of developing cancer increases significantly. Most of the colorectal cancers are diagnosed after 50. The risk of developing CRC is twice in a first-degree relative than without any family connection. A personal medical history of other cancers or tumors or polyps also increases the risk of CRC. Inlammatory bowel diseases also increases the chances of getting colorectal cancer.
