Understanding Near-sightedness in Detail

Myopia is a medical term for short-sightedness or near-sightedness. There are many types of myopia. Some of the common ones are:-
- Physiologic
-Pathologic
-Acquired
Physiologic myopia is the most common of these. It generally develops in children between the age of 5 and 10 years and progresses gradually until the eye is fully grown. Physiologic myopia can include refractive myopia where the cornea and lens-bending characteristics are too strong and axial myopia where the eyeball is too long.
